The Sree Sudheendra College of Nursing, under the Management of SREE SUDHEENDRA MEDICAL MISSION, which is a charitable institution registered under the Travancore–Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act XII of 1955, and it is a center of excellence with a team of dedicated and experienced staff having excellent infrastructural facilities. The educational programmes offered by the College are B.Sc. (Nursing). The College and the Hostel buildings are located in the same campus. The College is situated in a calm and serene atmosphere at Ambalamedu, 6 Kilometers away from Thripunithura. It is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council and the Kerala Nurses’ and Midwives’ Council and it is affiliated to the Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur.
I am a former student of sree sudheendra college of nursing in the academic year of 2011-2013.Over all since beginning the journey to obtain my degree in nursing I have had so many advanced educational experience and exposure that i feel really helped us to be a good nurse, capable of performing at any corner of the world with knowledge and confidence .All our teachers were extremely talented and amazing .Non academic opportunities also remarkable that really help us in our personal and professional development.

It gives me great pleasure and pride to say that I have completed my BSc Nursing from Sree Sudheendra College of Nursing, Ambalamedu . The four years I spent in this college were splendid and has helped me to grow better professionally and personally. College provided me a person-centred care with supportive educational setting in which I was able to gain more confidence in knowledge and nursing skills. We were the first batch students and as a new comer to college, they treated me well and provided all my needs with good accommodation and food in college hostel. The relationship between faculties and student was very cordial, which gave me an opportunity to excel in my area of interest.

The instructors were not only experts in their field of teaching, but also, were caring, loving and motivating. I had a personal mentor to whom i shared all my personal problems i faced during my training period.
We had different levels of extracurricular activities like sports, arts, trips to various known places, talent testing events, flash mobs, visiting old age homes and conducted many sessions based on self awareness and protection from social harms. All these events taught great lessons in my life and was an amazing opportunity for me to explore myself, improve leadership qualities, interpersonal skills and increased self-confidence. We engaged in many community service project like planting trees, initiated agricultural projects, cleaning public areas, conducted health camps, nutritional camp, health play in rural areas, home visiting etc.. Involvement in these special activities allowed us to link academic knowledge with practical experience, thereby leading to a better understanding of our own abilities, talents, and career goals.
Here, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude for the gracious efforts in teaching and moulding me during the time I spent as a student in this college and for bringing out the best out of me.

The college’s infra-structure is really good. The college library has a lot of research and reading materials which helped me in my course work. The college also focuses on extracurricular activities like sports, arts, trips to various historic places, talent testing events, visiting old age homes and conducted many sessions based on self-awareness and protection from social harms.
